He Enters Your Grief
John 11:28-35
Jesus did not stand at a distance when Mary and Martha wept. He drew near, and he wept with them. The shortest verse in the New Testament carries one of the weightiest truths: God is not unmoved by your pain. He is angered by death because it was never part of his original design, and he is troubled by the suffering of those he loves. Whatever grief you are carrying today, you do not carry it alone. You don't have to carry what Jesus is willing to enter. Bring your sorrow to his feet. He meets you there.
What grief have you been carrying alone that you need to place before Jesus today?
Set aside ten minutes today to sit quietly before the Lord and honestly name your pain. Do not rush past it. Let his presence meet you in it.
