I Am the Resurrection and the Life

John 11:23-27
Jesus did not ask Martha to believe after the miracle. He asked her before it. That sequence is everything. Faith is not the conclusion you reach after God has proven himself. Faith is the posture you hold while you are still waiting. When Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life," he was not describing a future event. He was declaring his identity in the present tense. He is the source of life right now, not only in eternity. Whatever in you feels dead: a dream, a relationship, a sense of purpose, he is not limited to someday. He is asking you the same question he asked Martha: do you believe this?

What area of your life have you mentally labeled as beyond recovery? How does the declaration of Jesus as the resurrection and the life speak directly to that place?

Identify one thing you have given up on spiritually. Bring it back before God in prayer today and ask him to resurrect your faith in that specific area.
