When God Seems Late

John 11:1-6
There are moments in life when we send our urgent need to Jesus and hear nothing back. The silence feels like absence. But John 11:5-6 presents one of the most jarring sequences in all of Scripture: Jesus loved this family, therefore he stayed. His delay was not indifference. It was intention. God's love is not measured by the speed of his response. He is not scrambling to catch up to your situation. He is working toward something you cannot yet see. Today, resist the temptation to interpret God's silence as abandonment. His love for you is not in question. His timing is simply not yours.

In what area of your life have you been interpreting God's delay as a lack of love? How might you reframe that delay as purposeful rather than absent?

Write down one situation in which you are waiting on God. Beside it, write the words "He loves me, therefore" and leave the rest of the sentence blank as an act of trust.
