What Generosity Produces | 2 Corinthians 9

Generosity is about more than giving something away. In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul shows us how generosity prepares, plants, trusts, and multiplies as God uses what He has already placed in our hands.

What can God do through what He has already put in your hand?

In 2 Corinthians 9, Paul continues his teaching on generosity and shows us that giving is about much more than money. Generosity prepares us to act, requires us to release what we could have kept, teaches us to trust God as our source, and can multiply into changed lives, strengthened relationships, and worship.

God provides the seed. We choose to plant it. God produces the harvest.

Generosity meets real needs, but its impact can go much further. What we release can become ministry in someone else’s life, gratitude in someone else’s heart, and praise directed toward God.

The question is not simply, “How much should I give?” The deeper question is, “What has God put in my hand, and what could He do through it if I was willing to release it?”

Before we were ever givers, we were receivers. Christian generosity begins by remembering the incredible grace God has already given us through Jesus.

This week, pray, identify a need you can help meet, and act. Don’t just intend to be generous. Do something.

You will never outgive the Gospel.
