Will You Stay? | John 6:41-71

What happens when following Jesus gets difficult, confusing, or costly? John 6 shows us that when you truly know who Jesus is, there is nowhere else to go.

In John 6, the chapter begins with crowds chasing after Jesus, but it ends with many of His disciples walking away. What happened between the miracle and their departure?

As Jesus reveals who He truly is, His words challenge their expectations, confront their assumptions, and demand a personal response of faith. Some grumble. Some argue. Some take offense. Some walk away. Peter responds differently: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

There will be seasons when we do not understand what Jesus is doing. We may face unanswered prayers, closed doors, disappointment, or circumstances that do not make sense. But we do not have to understand everything He is doing to know who He is.

Don’t let what you don’t understand make you forget what you know. When the crowd walks away, stay. When His words are hard, stay. When you don’t understand, stay. Not because you understand everything, but because you know Him.

Will you stay?
