Lift Up Your Eyes: Finding God's Purpose in the Harvest | John 4:27-42
People often become so focused on their own needs, comfort, and distractions that they miss the people and opportunities God has placed right in front of them. Jesus calls us to lift up our eyes, see the harvest around us, and find true satisfaction in joining His mission.
In John 4:27-42, Jesus teaches His disciples to see beyond barriers, distractions, and personal priorities. While others saw a Samaritan woman, a difficult town, and an interruption to their plans, Jesus saw a life ready to be transformed and a harvest ready to be gathered.
This message challenges us to examine what is driving our lives. Are we focused on our own appetites, ambitions, and comfort, or are we focused on God's mission? Jesus reveals that true fulfillment is found not in what we consume, but in doing the will of the Father.
As the Samaritan woman experienced the life-changing power of Jesus, she became a witness who pointed others to the Savior. Her testimony reminds us that God can use ordinary people to make an eternal impact. The same Savior who had to go through Samaria now sends us into our own mission fields.
Where is your Samaria? What opportunities are you missing because you're not looking for them? Lift up your eyes and see what Jesus sees.
